CoPrep AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our applications, or engage with our services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.

Chrome Extension and Application Autofill
This section describes the data practices of the CoPrep AI Chrome extension. These extension-specific terms control if another section of this Policy describes a broader practice for the website or another CoPrep AI service.
- Information handled: When you explicitly connect your CoPrep profile, the extension receives the profile fields you selected for autofill. Depending on your profile, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, address, links, education and employment history, resume-derived information, work authorization, sponsorship preferences, and optional application information such as pronouns, background-check consent, gender, race/ethnicity, LGBTQ+ identity, Indigenous or newcomer status, military experience, veteran status, or disability status. If you add employer-specific question-and-answer pairs or opt into filling limited application declarations, those choices are also included in the connected autofill profile.
- Local storage:The connected profile is stored in Chrome's local extension storage and is restricted to trusted extension pages. It remains there until you disconnect, replace the connected profile, clear the extension's data, or uninstall the extension. Disconnecting removes the local profile copy and consent record.
- Website access: The extension requests access to HTTPS websites because job application forms may be hosted on many different domains or inside embedded frames. The autofill engine runs only after you press Autofill. It reads visible form labels, controls, and options needed to match your profile to the application. It does not collect browser history, cookies, passwords, or unrelated browsing activity, and it does not submit applications for you.
- Sharing with a job site: When you press Autofill, the extension inserts matching profile information into the application page open in your browser. That website and its form provider can then receive or process the inserted information under their own privacy policies. Always review the completed form before submitting it.
- No extension analytics or advertising use: The extension does not send the connected profile, application-form content, or browsing activity back to CoPrep AI for analytics or advertising. The general advertising and marketing provisions elsewhere in this Policy do not apply to information obtained through Chrome extension permissions.
CoPrep AI's use and transfer of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell extension-derived data, use it for personalized or retargeted advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent for support, when necessary for security or legal compliance, or in aggregated and anonymized form for permitted internal operations.
